The 1849 Quarters is a charming boutique-style accommodation offering two unique suites. It combines modern comforts with historic elegance, perfect for those looking for a peaceful, intimate stay. Reservations are made via Airbnb or our website.
Check-ins are not done in person; the property has an automatic door lock for easy access. Check-in time is at 3 PM, and checkout is at 11 AM to allow time for cleaning and preparation for the next guests.
We offer two suites: one suite with a king-size bed and another suite with a queen-size bed and a sleeper sofa.
Yes, each suite has a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator for your convenience.
Unfortunately, we do not have an onsite fitness facility. However, if you're looking for a way to stay active, we recommend heading to the New Bern Riverwalk or enjoying a walk through the nearby historic home district for a refreshing outdoor experience
No, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property to ensure a clean and pleasant environment for all guests.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at the 1849 Quarters to maintain the comfort and cleanliness of our suites. We are happy to recommend this local kennel for your four-legged friends visiting town:

Parking is available at the rear of the property. However, we do not offer electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
Unfortunately, the 1849 Quarters is not ADA accessible , 301 which is the ground floor unit requires 2 steps up from rear entrance, 303 which is the upstairs unit is accessed by way of exterior stairway on the front porch of the building.
We do not have an elevator, as our suites are accessible only by stairs. The building’s historic nature means we cannot accommodate elevator access.
Currently, we only offer two suites. We do not accept large group reservations, but you are welcome to book both suites if available.
